Welcome to ChipHERO
Information for Breeders
A breeder account gives you one place to confirm implanted litters, maintain the first-keeper record where required, and transfer each puppy or kitten to its new home.
1. Create or claim your breeder account
If an implanter transferred ChipHERO microchips to you, use the same email address they recorded. The welcome message links the chips to your account. If you did not receive it, you can still create a breeder account or ask support to check the recorded email address.
2. Check the litter record
In Litters / Manage Microchips, verify every chip number and pet record before a transfer. Record breeder licence details when applicable. The legal first-keeper requirements depend on the animal and the country, so review our UK microchipping law guide.
3. Nominate each new keeper
Start the transfer as each pet leaves for its new home. Enter accurate keeper contact details and ask the new keeper to complete the notification promptly. The breeder nomination is free; the new keeper can then complete their ChipHERO registration and maintain the record.
4. Keep an audit trail
Retain the microchip certificate, transfer date and new-keeper details required by the rules that apply to you. Do not treat a sales receipt alone as proof that the database record has changed.
